Break and Enter and Possession of a weapon.
On July 24th at 0700am Police noticed a bicycle that was possibly stolen parked in front of an abandoned property in the 500 block of 7th Street. Officers located two individuals in the residence they say did not have permission to be there. A 38-year-old male and a 39-year-old female were arrested for Break and Enter. A search incident to arrest revealed the male was in possession of a stolen cheque book as well as two knives and a couple of shotgun shells. The pair were held for court on July 25th, 2024.
Mischief Under $5000
On July 23rd at 4:00 pm Police received a call from a business in the 100 block of 6th Street reporting a female was ripping out sprinklers in front of their business. It was reported the female left the area carrying a sprinkler head. A 25-year-old female was later located and arrested for mischief under $5000. She was released for court on September 24th, 2024.
Arrest Warrant
On July 24th at 3:27 pm Police attended to a residence in the 200 block of 9th Street. A 34-year-old male was arrested as he had an outstanding warrant for Theft Under $5000, Failing to attend court and numerous other charges. He was held for court on July 25th, 2024.
Stabbing
On July 24th at 11:57 pm Police received a call to the 000 block of 9th Street for a male who had been stabbed. A witness reported the male was stabbed by a female who fled the scene. The 24-year-old male victim was stabbed in the stomach. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police continue to investigate the incident. Fail to comply with Release Order
On July 24th at 8:28 pm Police received a report that a male had breached his no contact order by sending a text message to his ex-girlfriend. A 48-year-old male was arrested at his residence and released for court on September 9th, 2024.
Arrest Warrants
–On July 24th at 7:39 pm Police conducted a pedestrian check of two individuals in the 700 block of 10th Street. A 26-year-old female and 22-year-old male were arrested as they both had outstanding warrants for failing to attend court. The female was released for court on August 15th, 2024, and the male was held for curt on July 25th, 2024.
-On July 25th at 03:02 am Police conducted a vehicle stop in the 1500 block of Vanhorne Avenue. Officers say a male ran from the vehicle as soon as it came to a stop. Officers were able to track the male with the assistance of a police K9 and a drone. A 28-year-old male was arrested as he an outstanding warrant for armed robbery, failing to attend court and numerous other charges. He was held for court on July 25th, 2024.
Breach of Peace
On July 25th at 04:36 am Police received a call of a disturbance at a residence in the 100 block of Louise Avenue. The homeowner requested an intoxicated female be removed as she was causing problems in the home. Police arrested a 19-year-old female and were attempting to take her out of the residence when another family member allegedly tried to intervene. A 16-year-old intoxicated male was also arrested. The pair will be released when sober.
