Brandon Police have arrested a man; after a 38-year-old woman was confined and assaulted; The victim later escaped, after being held at home on 8th Street, for 2 days. A 44-year-old man is charged with assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, failure to comply with a release order; assault, uttering threats, and robbery. Police say they received a report Tuesday night, that the woman was in hospital after escaping 2-days of assault, threats and forcible confinement.
Sexual Assault-Brandon
Meantime, Tuesday morning, Police report a sexual assault in the 11-hundred block of Princess Avenue. A 48-year-old male, who had inappropriately touched a male-stranger while asking for a cigarette; was arrested.
Fatal Collision-Highway 6 near Grand Rapids, Mb.
At least 12 people were killed in vehicle crashes in a 2-week span, prompting the RCMP to plead for Manitobans to take care on the roads and avoid high-risk driving behaviors. The Brandon Sun reports that this includes 3-people who died in related collisions on Highway 6 Monday — a head-on crash involving a handi-van and the other involving people who became stranded while waiting for the route to reopen.
T-Swift Concert-Terrorism attack
