St. Rose du Lac RCMP have released more details on the four deaths that happened in the RM of McCreary on Friday, August 16, including a timeline of events and they identity of the man they believe to have been responsible.
In a release on Wednesday, August 22, RCMP identified the 41-year-old man who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound as Marlon Glover. They also said they believe he was responsible for the deaths of a 66-year-old woman, a 65-year-old man, and a 35-year-old man.
According to police, Glover forcibly entered the residence of a 37-year-old woman at about 1:20 AM on August 16. Glover knew this woman from a previous relationship, so RCMP say this forcible entry was targeted. The woman escaped and hid in a wooded area.
The timeline released by police says Glover then left her home and went to another home nearby, where he killed the three homicide victims. These victims were the woman’s parents and brother.
Glover then left the residence in his vehicle, stopped on the side of the road 84 West, and died from a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
Police found the woman at about 12:40 that afternoon. She was taken to hospital as a precaution.
