A 35-year-old, a 34-year-old, and 51-year-old from Virden are facing drug-related charges after a bust by Virden RCMP that stemmed from a traffic stop.
In a release, RCMP said their Virden detachment and members of the West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) conducted a traffic stop on August 15. Not long after, they searched a house in relation to the search of that same vehicle.
Police say when they searched this house they found and seized 53 grams of methamphetamine, 14 grams of psilocybin, 3 grams of cocaine, numerous prescription pills, unstamped cigarettes and drug paraphernalia.
The 35 and 51-year-old suspects were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine, and possession of a controlled substance. The 34-year-old was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine and possession of a controlled substance. She also had an outstanding warrant of arrest.
RCMP continue to investigate.
