The 35th annual ‘Big One’ Arts & Crafts Sale, held recently over two weekends at Brandon’s Keystone Centre, raised a total of $5,462.60 for the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation.
The money was raised partly from the proceeds of door admissions, and will go towards CancerCare Manitoba’s efforts in Brandon and Westman. Over a total of 25 years, Brandon’s ‘Big One’ sale has made donations in the amount of $ 102,745.00.
The annual arts and crafts event typically attracts 175 vendors each weekend, and gives shoppers a great opportunity to support local artisans and kick-off their holiday shopping. This year, organizers say they had over 4,600 visitors the first weekend alone.
