On November 26, 2024, at approximately 3:30 pm., Souris RCMP received a report of a fight in progress outside an apartment complex in the community of Glenboro.
When officers arrived on scene, they learned a physical altercation had occurred between a 59-year-old woman, and a 49-year-old male who were known to each other. The female fled in a vehicle before officers arrived.
The investigation revealed the female had arrived at the complex and pointed a gun at the male’s dog. The male ran outside to protect the animal, and a physical altercation ensued resulting in the firearm being discharged.
No one was injured, and officers seized the firearm that was used in the incident.
Souris RCMP issued a Warrant of Arrest for Kimberly Wiggett, of Stockton, who was arrested on November 27, and remanded into custody.
Wiggett has been charged with the following:
- Pointing A Firearm
- Discharge Firearm While Being Reckless
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Careless Use of a Firearm
- Assault with a Weapon
