An unidentified person has died following a structure fire in the RM of North Norfolk, according to an RCMP release.
Portage la Prairie RCMP said they responded to a report of a structure fire on December 10 at about 7:40 in the evening. The fire was at a residence located off of Provincial Road 352, west of Highway 34, in the RM of North Norfolk.
The local fire department was also on the scene, and once the fire was brought under control and put out, firefighters entered the home. There they found the remains of the deceased individual. RCMP have not yet released any information about this person’s identity.
Police have not determined the cause of the fire, but both the RCMP and the Office of the Fire Commissioner continue to investigate.
