-It’s Canada and the U-S tonight in the final of the 4 Nations Hockey Tournament. The Winnipeg Jets return to action on Saturday in St. Louis.
-The Brandon Wheat Kings are back on the ice on Friday when they host the Calgary Hitmen.
-The Brandon AAA U18 Wheat Kings played their final home game of the regular season against the Parkland Rangers last night winning 4-3. Brandon remains in 1st place in the league, one point ahead of the Winnipeg Wild.
-In the Manitoba U18 AAA Female Hockey League playoffs – the Eastman Selects beat the Interlake Lightning 3-0 – and the Winnipeg Avros doubled the Westman Wildcats 6-3. The Selects and Avros lead their series 1-0. Tonight, Brandon is at Yellowhead for Game 1 of their series, and Pembina Valley is in Winnipeg against the Ice. Pembina Valley leads 1-0.
-It was Toronto over New York 4-1 last night in the PWHL.
-Team Canada’s Rachel Homan has secured a play-off berth at the Scotties. Her rink tops Pool A at 7-and-0. Manitoba’s Kerri Einarson is in 3rd place in Pool B behind Quebec and Ontario.
