Hashim Farooq’s free app called ‘CanMade’, which launched earlier this month; allows you to scan barcodes to determine whether an item is made in Canada. To date it has more than 20,000 followers.

Parkland’s Mountain View School Division is planning to reintroduce the playing of “God Save the King” during morning announcements.
