-The Winnipeg Jets won their final regular season game beating the Ducks 2-1 in overtime. The Jets broke their franchise record for most points in a season finishing with 116 points. They’ll start the first round of the playoffs on Saturday at home against the St. Louis Blues, 5:00 pm Central on Sportsnet.
-Canada plays Japan today in the quarterfinals of the world women’s hockey championship.
-The Toronto Blue Jays downed the Atlanta Braves 3-1 on Thursday. The Jays open a weekend series Friday at home against the Seattle Mariners.
