-The Winnipeg Jets and St. Louis Blues play Game 2 of their first-round playoff series tonight at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg. The Jets lead 1-0 after a 5-3 win on Saturday.
-In other NHL playoff action tonight – the Montreal Canadiens and Washington Capitals meet in Game 1, the Edmonton Oilers begin their series in L-A against the Kings – and the Dallas Stars host the Colorado Avalanche in Game 2. The Av’s lead 1-0. On Sunday – The Leafs beat the Senators 6-2, the Hurricanes downed the Devils 4-1, and the Golden Knights edged the Wild 3-2. Toronto, Carolina and Las Vegas all lead their series 1-0.
-The United States beat Canada 4-3 in overtime on Sunday to capture gold in the women’s world hockey championship. Finland downed the host Czech Republic 4-3 in overtime for the bronze medal.
-Justin Thomas won the RBC Heritage golf tournament on Sunday ending nearly three years without a win. He closed with a 3-under 68.
-The Seattle Mariners downed the Toronto Blue Jays 8-3 on Sunday. The Jays begin a series in Houston against the Astros today.
