-The Winnipeg Jets regained the lead in their first-round playoff series with a 5-3 win over the St. Louis Blues in Game 5. Winnipeg will try and end the series Friday night in St. Louis. Elsewhere, the Washington Capitals won their series against Montreal beating the Canadiens 4-1 – and the Florida Panthers advanced to the second round with a 6-3 win over Tampa Bay.
-Tonight in the NHL playoffs – Four teams can advance with wins: The Leafs, The Oilers, the Golden Knights and Stars all lead their series 3-2. Toronto plays Ottawa, Edmonton is home to L-A, Las Vegas is in Minnesota and Dallas is in Colorado.
-The Medicine Hat Tigers beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-3 to win the WHL Eastern Conference Championship. They now await the winner of the West Final where the Spokane Chiefs lead the Portland Winterhawks 3-0.
-The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Boston Red Sox 7-6.
