-The Edmonton Oilers knocked-off the Las Vegas Golden Knights with a 1-0 win in overtime Wednesday night. Edmonton advances to its third NHL Western Conference championship in four years. In the other game, the Florida Panthers hammered the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-1 to take a 3-2 series lead.
-Tonight – the Winnipeg Jets must win against the Dallas Stars who lead the series 3-games-to-1. The winner will meet Edmonton in the Western Conference Final. Also tonight, the Carolina Hurricanes, up 3-1, can eliminate the Washington Capitals with a win.
-Canada plays Austria today at the Men’s World Hockey Championship in Sweden. Canada is currently 3-and-0 and in second place in Group A. Sweden tops the group at 4-and-0.
-With a 5-2 win on Wednesday night, the Medicine Hat Tigers have taken a commanding 3-1 series lead against the Spokane Chiefs in the WHL Championship Series. Game 5 goes Friday night.
-Minnesota edged Toronto 4-3 in overtime to win their PWHL semi-final series 3-games-to-1.
-and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1.
