Powerview RCMP respond to a Break and Enter involving firearms in the community of Black River
On May 23, shortly before 7:00 am, Powerview RCMP responded to a Break and Enter with firearm at two residences on Mayaa Road in Black River.
A woman and eight children ages 6 to 17 years were sleeping inside a residence when two males kicked in the door and held them at gunpoint. They also assaulted the female by holding her by the neck. The two males then went to another residence, kicked the door, and shot twice through an inside door. They left in a stolen vehicle which was later recovered.
Powerview RCMP is looking for Tyson Breland, 36, from Selkirk. An unendorsed warrant has been issued for his arrest, and he has been charged with:
Forcible Confinement x 9
Break and Enter to Residence x 2
Assault by Choking
Careless Use of Firearm
Pointing a Firearm x 9
Unauthorised Possession of a Firearm x 2
Using a Firearm in the Commission of an Offence x 2
Uttering Threats x 4
Possession of Firearm Contrary to Order x 4
Possession Property Obtained by Crime
