-The Winnipeg Sea Bears (4-5) visit the Vancouver Bandits (8-1) tonight in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.
-The Arizona Diamondbacks avoided the sweep by beating the Toronto Blue Jays 9-5. The Jays open a weekend home series against the Chicago White Sox today.
