-Winnipeg’s Jennifer Botterill is headed into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Boterill, who’s won three Olympic gold medals and a silver, currently works on the Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts. Others players being inducted include Winnipegger Duncan Keith, Joe Thornton, Alexander Mogilny, Zdeno Chara, and Brianna Decker.
-Canada is through to the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup after beating El Salvador 2-0. The ‘Knockout Stage’ begins on June 28th.
-In the Southwest Baseball League – the Brandon Young Guns downed Oak River 10-3.
-The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Cleveland Guardians 10-6.
