-The Edmonton Elks won their first game of the season on Sunday beating the Ottawa Redblack 39-33.
-The Southwest Baseball League wrapped up the regular season with three games – Hamiota beat Deloraine 15-12, it was Deloraine over Wawanesa 20-2 – and Virden downed Hamiota 10-7.
-The Toronto Blue Jays won their 8th straight game with a 3-2 win over the L-A Angels. The Jays are in Chicago today against the White Sox.
