A Brandon production plant responsible for panels on the exterior of buildings is getting a 45,000-square foot upgrade to their facility on Richmond Avenue.
Greenstone Building Products said in a release they will be expanding their location at 4000B Richmond Avenue East in Brandon. This expansion comes at the same time as their tenth anniversary.
The building expansion will be a major step forward for the business,” reads the release. “It will increase production capacity and expand market reach. The addition will house a new Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) line, which will produce lightweight, high-strength steel framing components. This technology will allow contractors to
build structures that are faster to assemble and more precise in design, setting a new standard for modern construction.”
Greenstone makes what they call ICE panels, or Insulated Composite Envelope Panels, which are used in residential, commercial, and multi-unit projects. Manufactured locally in Brandon, ICE Panels combine steel framing with graphite-infused polystyrene insulation, offering unmatched durability, airtightness, and energy efficiency.
Projects using Greenstone’s ICE panels include affordable housing in Nunavut, with over 300 ICE Panel homes shipped to nearly every
community across the territory as part of the Nunavut 3000 initiative, and local developments such as the Green Spot Home & Garden Centre expansion and multi-unit builds throughout Brandon.
