A 20-year-old man from Brandon faces charges including creating child pornography and possessing child pornography following a complaint in Saskatchewan and an ensuing arrest in Manitoba.
A release from the Estevan Police Service said they received a complaint earlier this year and with the assistance of the Manitoba and Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Units they received a warrant for an address in Brandon. The 20-year-old was arrested in Brandon, and several items from his home were seized.
The EPS went on to say the man was brought back to Estevan and appeared in their court on Friday, July 24. In addition to the charges related to child pornography, he also faces charges of extortion and uttering threats.
