A man sought by RCMP in the death of a 33-year-old woman on Keeseekoowenin First Nation has turned himself in to police, RCMP said.
Police announced today that Frank La Forge had turned himself in to RCMP in Winnipeg yesterday, and was arrested on charges of First Degree Murder and Attempted Murder. He was remanded into custody, and is presumed innocent.
The charges stem from a shooting on July 28, in which a 33-year-old woman was killed and a 26-year-old man was seriously injured. On August 6, RCMP announced they were looking for La Forge in connection with the shooting.
