Prairie Mountain Health has big plans for a personal care home in Elkhorn, and they’re hoping the community will help them realize those plans. They’ve announced plans to start fundraising for an accessible courtyard for residents of Elkwood Manor Personal Care Home.
“We need your support to make this vision a reality,” reads a news post on their website. “Elkwood Manor Personal Care Home in Elkhorn is planning to create a new peaceful, accessible courtyard for residents. A place where they can enjoy the outdoors, connect with nature, and spend quality time with loved ones.”
According to Prairie Mountain Health’s website, they want to replace the paving stones, add a walking path, install a fence, improve lighting in the space, beautify the courtyard with with flowers & shrubs, and add a bench, gazebo & outdoor furnishings. The estimated cost of this project is $200,000 plus taxes.
Donations can be made out to Prairie Mountain Health and dropped off at Elkwood Manor at 12 Antrim Street, Elkhorn or mailed to Box 70, Elkhorn, MM, R0M 0N0. They ask any donations to be labeled with “Elkhorn Courtyard Project.”
