Arrest Warrant
On August 19th at 8:40AM a 39-year-old male was located and arrested at his residence in the 1100 block of 7th Street on the strength of a Warrant for his Arrest. (Failure to Comply with SOIRA Order). He was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of September 18th, 2025.
Theft Under $5000
On August 19, 2025, at approximately 2:43 PM, police responded to a report of a suspicious male in the 600 block of 18th Street. Upon arrival, officers identified the individual as being wanted in connection with a Theft Under $5,000 and a Failure to Comply with an Undertaking, both related to an incident on August 3, 2025. In that earlier incident, the 49-year-old male had stolen merchandise valued at $259.78 from a business located in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. At the time, he was under conditions not to attend the premises as part of an existing Undertaking. The male was arrested without incident, transported to the Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention facility, and is scheduled to appear in court on the morning of August 20, 2025.
IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)
On August 19th at 5:51PM police were called to a disturbance at a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. The highly intoxicated and belligerent 30-year-old male who had been causing a disturbance was arrested. He was held at BPS detention cells and will be released once sober.

On August 19, 2025, at approximately 6:08 PM, police were dispatched to the 500 block of 14th Street following reports of a suspicious male exhibiting erratic behavior. An off-duty officer noted the situation and intervened to assist the visibly intoxicated individual while awaiting the arrival of on-duty members. The 24-year-old male was taken into custody and transported to BPS detention facility, where he will be held until sober.
Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours seven (7) Breach of the Peace incidents took place. The individuals will be released once sober / calmed down.
Assault / Assault by Choking / Failure to Comply Release Order x4
On August 19, 2025, at approximately 10:44 PM, police attended a residence on Cornell Bay following a report that a 22-year-old male had attended the home and assaulted a 29-year-old female with whom he had prior relations. At the time of the incident, the male was bound by a Release Order that included a curfew and conditions prohibiting contact with the victim. He was arrested and transported to BPS detention facility, where he is being held in custody. He is scheduled to appear in court the morning of August 20, 2025.
Assault
On August 20th at 3:19AM police attended a home in the 1200 block of 20th street where a 32-year-old male was arrested for placing hands on 33-year-old ex-wife causing bruising. The male was arrested. He was later released on Undertaking with a court date of October 30th, 2025.
