Candidates for the PC, NDP, and Liberal parties of Manitoba will take the stage in Sprucewoods tonight for one final round of debate before a by-election in just six more days.
Colleen Robbins of the Conservatives, Ray Berthelette of the NDP, and Stephen Reid of the Liberal party are the three candidates taking part in the debate. All three also took part in a debate in Souris on August 13.
According to a post on Brandon University’s events page, the debate will begin at 7:00 this evening and last for 90 minutes. Questioners will be Brandon Sun political reporter Alex Lambert, Brandon University Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science, Dr. Kelly Saunders, and Sun columnist Deveryn Ross. Kerry Auriat will officiate.
WCGtv will tape the event and re-broadcast it later in the week.
Advance voting in the byelection has already begun and will continue until August 25. Election day is August 26.
