Over 80% Of Parents Say Cost Of Raising Kids Is “Out Of Control”
A new survey by BMO Financial Group finds that nearly three-quarters (71%) of parents with kids under 18 feel overwhelmed by their financial responsibilities, compared to 54% of those who don’t have kids at home.
For 83% of moms and dads, the cost of raising kids has “gotten out of control,” and 77% admit they feel pressure to spend more than they should.
According to another recent survey by Ameriprise Financial, seven in 10 felt parental guilt that led to them overspending on their kids to make up for it.
