-The Winnipeg Jets welcome the Edmonton Oilers tonight as the NHL pre-season continues.
-The Toronto Blue Jays, who have 6 games left in the regular season, host the Boston Red Sox tonight.
-In the NFL last night – the Detroit Lions beat the Baltimore Ravens 38-30.
-The CFL is making some changes to the game. These include reducing the field from 110 yards to 100 yards. End zones will go from 20 yards to 15 yards and goalposts will be moved from the goal-line to the back of the end zones. Also no points will be awarded for errant field goals, punts or kickoffs that go through the end zone.
