The Brandon Police service announced on their social media today they had responded to a threat at Vincent Massey High School in Brandon.
According to police, the threat was sent in via email. They confirmed they evacuated all students safely from the school but did not provide any more information on the nature of the threat.
“While no immediate risk was identified,” reads the post on the BPS Facebook page, “every precaution was taken to ensure the safety of everyone involved. We extend our sincere thanks to the Brandon School Division for their quick action and cooperation, and to the public for your patience and support.”
BPS have said they will continue to investigate.
