-The Blue Jays beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-1 last night to take a 3-2 lead in the World Series. Game 6 is Friday in Toronto, and with a win, the Jays will take the title.
-The Brandon Wheat Kings won their 3rd straight game last night, a 3-2 shootout win over the Regina Pats. Both teams play again Saturday night at ACU Place.
-In the Manitoba AAA U-18 Female Hockey League – Central Plains got by Pembina Valley 4-3 in a shootout – and Westman beat Yellowhead 2-1 in overtime.
-The Winnipeg Jets are back home tonight to face the Chicago Blackhawks.
-Winnipeg Blue Bombers receiver Nic Demski is a West Division All-Star for the fifth straight year. Linebacker Tony Jones, halfback Evan Holm, and kick returner Trey Vaval were also voted to the divisional all-star team. Demski’s status remains in doubt for Saturday’s Eastern Semifinal against the Montreal Alouettes. He missed the Blue Bombers’ last two games after suffering a hamstring injury.
-In the NFL – the Baltimore Ravens visit the Miami Dolphins tonight.
