The Keystone Centre has announced a partnership with the Brandon and Area Community Foundation (BACF) to create the Keystone Centre
Foundation. The Foundation will be headed by volunteer Executive Director Barry Cooper, and aims to support the Keystone Centre’s strategic mission.
The Keystone Centre established the Keystone Centre Foundation to support the ongoing operation, improvement, and accessibility of the non-profit Keystone Centre. The fund will invest tax-deductible donations over time, and, under the terms of the fund agreement, the Keystone Centre may use the annual interest or a portion of the capital investment as needed in the future for specific projects, helping to preserve the community facility for future generations.
“We are pleased the Keystone Centre Board is looking to the future, and that they have established their own Foundation to support facility development and community service activities,” said Marc Alain, BACF President. “We thank them for placing their trust in us and we look forward to helping them promote and support this fund as it grows.”
The Keystone Centre has been a conduit for the community to interact for more than 50 years, and the Keystone Centre Charity Foundation is born of a shared interest in maintaining & improving the facility, and serves as a unique tool to support the Keystone Centre’s mission, and share your ideas for what the future of the facility looks like.
“The Brandon and Area Community Foundation has been a consistent community partner to many regional organizations over the past 60 years, and they are providing a valuable service to us through their seamless donation and fund management services,” said Barry Cooper, Keystone Centre Board Member and Keystone Centre Foundation executive director. “We look forward to working with them as co-stewards of our Foundation.”
In addition to the launch of the Keystone Centre Foundation, Keystone Centre CEO & general manager Connie Lawrence announced two signature events designed to raise awareness of the new fund, and provide opportunities to educate on the history, present, and future of the Keystone Centre.
