Strong westerly winds gusting to 71-kilometres per hour with mixed precipitation has created power outages and dangerous driving conditions from Riding Mountain National Park to Dauphin today.
This event began overnight on Sunday.
Manitoba Hydro says they are working to restore power to about 500 customers in the Dauphin area. Those high winds damaged power lines; and may have knocked trees or tree branches down on top of power lines which has also complicated the restoration efforts.
