The Province is zeroing in at Sobeys; as it looks to end “anti-competitive zones” around grocery stores to offer consumers more choice. The Brandon Sun says Sobeys is the last supermarket chain operating in Manitoba–holding property controls. Sobeys’s has registered 43 controls, affecting 25 locations across Manitoba, including Brandon.
So far, Sobey’s has not commented.

NASA’s planned launch of a moon rocket with Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen aboard; is set for early April. The Mission has been delayed twice since February because of hydrogen fuel leaks and helium flow problems with the Space Launch System. Those issues have been fixed . Plans to roll out the rocket to the launch pad in Florida is March 19; with the launch date possible April 1st.

Mark Carney is in Norway today, where he will observe NATO’s Cold Response exercises alongside the Norwegian prime minister. This year, about 25,000 troops from 14 different nations are taking part in the exercises, which are aimed at enhancing the alliance’s Arctic military capabilities.
