Rural Health Care Upgrades Moving Ahead
Manitoba is pushing forward with major rural health‑care expansions this year, including ER and acute‑care upgrades in Neepawa, Brandon, Portage, Winkler–Morden and Eriksdale. The province says the projects aim to improve access and cut down on patient transfers.
Manitoba is also investing $6.3 million in physician recruitment and new training pathways for nurses and paramedics, with a focus on stabilizing rural staffing ahead of summer.
