Breach of the Peace
On April 6th at 7:11 p.m., police attended a residence in the 300 block of 11th Street, where an intoxicated 53-year-old woman was causing a disturbance. It was requested to remove the woman from the residence. She was arrested and transported to Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells, where she was held until sober.
LGCCA – Disorderly Conduct
On April 6th at 11:03 p.m., police received a report of a disturbance involving a fight at a bar in the 000 block of 10th Street. A 31-year-old female was identified as the primary cause of the disturbance and was arrested. She was held in BPS detention cells and will be released once sober.
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
On April 7th at 3:10 a.m., a traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of Park Avenue. Two male youth occupants were inside the vehicle and were unable to provide identification at the time. Both individuals initially provided false names. A search incidental of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 250 grams of cocaine, with a street value of $25,000. The vehicle was towed, and both 16-year-old youth males were arrested and lodged in BPS detention cells. They were later released via Undertaking with future court dates.
Immediate Roadside Prohibition
On April 7th at 3:40 a.m., a traffic stop was conducted in the 1800 block of Richmond Avenue. The driver provided two breath samples on an Approved Screening Device (ASD), both of which registered fails. The 38-year-old male driver’s license was suspended, and the vehicle was towed and impounded for a 30-day period.
Breach of the Peace
On April 6th at 2:01 p.m., police were called to Rosser Avenue regarding a woman causing a disturbance to pedestrians walking by her. The woman was arrested and lodged in BPS detention cells to prevent the continuation of the behavior.
Criminal Harassment
On April 6th at 11:19 a.m., police responded to a panic alarm at a business in the 100 block of 8th Street. A 65-year-old man was reported to be harassing a 34-year-old woman, who was known to him, yelling at customers, and refusing to leave when asked.
Police located the man and placed him under arrest. He was later released on an undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on June 15, 2026.
Break and Enter – Still Under Investigation
In the early morning hours of Sunday, April 5th, an unidentified male gained entry to a secured compound in the 1500 block of 1st St N by breaching a rear fence. The suspect forced entry into multiple storage units. He returned briefly again at approximately 3:00 a.m. on April 6th, 2026. The investigation remains ongoing, and police are seeking public assistance should you have information.
