Manitoba campers will want to mark their calendars as the province prepares to open its 2026 campground reservation system on April 13. The annual rollout will once again take place over five days, giving visitors a structured window to book everything from cabins and yurts to group sites and the province’s most popular campgrounds.
The staggered launch is designed to reduce system congestion and make the booking process smoother for thousands of Manitobans who rush to secure their favourite summer spots each year. Reservations for cabins and yurts typically open first, followed by group-use areas and then individual campgrounds across the province.
This year’s system includes a new availability‑notification feature, allowing users to sign up for alerts when a fully booked site becomes available. Manitoba Parks says the tool is intended to help campers avoid constant manual checking during peak season.
A $10 cancellation fee has also been introduced for 2026 bookings. The province says the charge will help reduce last‑minute cancellations and improve access for campers who may otherwise struggle to find openings.
With demand for Manitoba’s parks continuing to grow, officials expect another busy reservation season as families begin planning their summer getaways.
