The NHL playoffs are well and truly underway as the Colorado Avalanche, Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, and Vegas Golden Knights all won the first game of their opening round series last night. Only one series has yet to start, and the Edmonton Oilers will open their series against the Anaheim Ducks tonight at 9:00 Central Time.
The Virden Oil Capitals dropped the second game of the Turnbull Cup finals against the Niverville Nighthawks by a 3-1 count, falling down 2-0 in the best-of-seven final series. Liam Goertzen scored the lone goal for the Oil Capitals, who will try to get back in the series tomorrow night.
After a couple of tough losses, the Toronto Blue Jays bounced back in a big way last night with a 10-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. They’re back to work today against the Los Angeles Angels.
