Families in Carberry can now register for a full season of weekly summer day camps, offering supervised activities for children throughout July and August. The program, organized by Carberry and Area Parks & Recreation, will run from July 6 to August 28, 2026, giving local youth structured programming during the school break.
All camp activities will be based out of the Carberry Plains Community Centre at 500 Stickle Avenue, a central hub that houses several of the community’s major recreation amenities. The centre’s outdoor pool, skating arena, and bowling alley will all be incorporated into the weekly programming, providing a mix of indoor and outdoor options for participants.
Parents can register their children online using the form posted on the Carberry and Area Parks & Recreation Facebook page. Anyone with questions about the program or the registration process can contact the director of art and leisure services at rec@townofcarberry.ca or by calling 204‑834‑6623.
The summer camp initiative is part of a broader effort by the Town of Carberry and the Municipality of North Cypress‑Langford to expand local recreation services and create more opportunities for families. It also aligns with recent community investments, including the development of a new 36‑site campground, which further enhances the region’s growing recreation network.
With registration now open, officials say the camps are designed to support families, keep youth active, and strengthen community engagement throughout the summer months.
