The driver of a pickup truck has been sent to hospital after a crash in the RM of Portage la Prairie involving a school bus.
According to RCMP, they received a call at about 4:30 PM on May 4 that a school bus had been involved in a crash with a pickup truck. This crash happened at the intersection of Highway 430 and Road 67 North, in the RM of Portage la Prairie. The truck was driving northbound on Highway 430 when it collided with the eastbound bus.
Police said there were two teenage students on the bus at the time of the crash, and neither they nor the bus driver, a 49-year-old man, were hurt. The driver of the truck, a 22-year-old male from Portage la Prairie, was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the collision is being investigated.
