Arrest Warrants
Over the past 24 hours, three individuals were arrested on outstanding Warrants for Arrest. Two individuals were held in custody at Brandon Police Service (BPS) for court on the morning of May 26th, 2026. One individual was released on an Appearance Notice with a future court date.
Breach of the Peace / Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours, four individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace, while one additional highly intoxicated individual was taken into custody under the Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act (PDCIPA). All are expected to be released once calm and sober.
Possession of a Weapon / Failure to Comply Release Order
On May 25th at 7:22 p.m., police received a call from a motel in the 1800 block of 1st Street North reporting a disturbance and a broken window. Upon arrival, officers located two highly intoxicated individuals; however, it was determined that neither was responsible for the damage.
A highly intoxicated 22-year-old male was arrested for Breach of the Peace and brought to BPS detention cells. He will be released once sober.
A 15-year-old male was arrested for Possession of a Weapon (knife). The youth was bound by a Release Order prohibiting possession of weapons. He was arrested and held in custody for court in the morning on May 26th, 2026.
