The City of Brandon has launched a new Capital Project Dashboard, giving residents a clearer, more accessible way to follow infrastructure work taking place throughout the 2026 construction season. The dashboard brings together real‑time updates on major capital projects, routine maintenance, and road rehabilitation efforts, helping residents stay informed as activity increases across the community.
Several significant projects are planned for 2026, reflecting ongoing investments in Brandon’s transportation network, underground utilities, and public amenities. Key initiatives include the 1st Street watermain replacement between Louise Avenue and Van Horne Avenue, construction of new roundabouts at 18th Street North & Braecrest Drive and 26th Street & Maryland Avenue, and the reconstruction of 26th Street from Victoria Avenue to Park Avenue. Additional work includes various sidewalk replacements and extensions, along with a major upgrade to the Water Treatment Facility, featuring a new membrane building to support long‑term water quality and capacity needs.
The dashboard provides residents with project locations, timelines, and progress updates, offering a transparent look at how each initiative aligns with the City’s long‑term infrastructure planning. As construction activity increases in the coming weeks, residents may encounter lane closures, detours, and temporary access changes in active work zones. The City will continue working to minimize disruptions and share updates throughout the season.
