A 42-year-old man from Roblin has died following a crash involving a semi and RCMP are investigating.
According to police, Roblin RCMP were called to a crash west of the town at about 1:45 PM on June 1. The crash happened about six kilometres northwest of Roblin. RCMP said they believe a northbound van travelling on Provincial Road 484 was hit by a westbound semi-truck travelling on Road 153 North. The intersection is controlled by stop signs for eastbound and westbound traffic.
When officers arrived, they found the semi-truck flipped over and blocking the road while the van had sustained significant damage. The driver of the van, a 42-year-old male from Roblin, died at the scene. The driver of the semi, a 31-year-old Roblin male, was taken to hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition.
Roblin RCMP are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
