Breach of Peace
On July 5 at 8:30am, Police attended the 1000 block of 9th Street for a disturbance. An intoxicated 19-year-old female was located and lodged, to be released once sober.
On July 5 at 12:30pm, Police attended for a well-being check on an individual in the 3300 block of Victoria Avenue. An intoxicated 27-year-old male was located and lodged, to be released once sober.
On July 5 at 6:00pm, Police attended a hotel in the 3100 block of Victoria Avenue for a report of a male being aggressive towards staff and trying to throw furniture around. A 28-year-old male was arrested and lodged for later release.
Weapons
On July 5 at 3:00pm, Police attended the 500 block of Rideau Street following a report of a male who pointed a paint gun at a dog. Officers located the suspect in the area. He was found in possession of a paint spray gun concealed under his clothing, and a pool ball inside a sock. The 19-year-old male was arrested and lodged for Court, on charges of Possess Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
Intimate Partner Violence
On July 6 at 5:40am, Police attended the 200 block of 4th Street following a report from a male that his female partner had assaulted him while he was sleeping. The 41-year-old female was arrested for later release by Undertaking, on a charge of Assault.
While investigating this incident, Officers discovered the male was bound by a condition to have no contact or communication with the female resulting from a previous incident. The 52-year-old male was arrested and lodged for Court, on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
