Manitoba has recorded four motorcycle fatalities so far in 2026 — including the latest crash in Whiteshell Provincial Park that claimed the life of a 56‑year‑old Steinbach woman. Falcon Beach RCMP say the rider lost control while travelling east with a group on Highway 44 near Provincial Road 312 Sunday evening, flipping into the south ditch. She was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead.
This year’s total is already ahead of 2025, when Manitoba logged three motorcycle fatalities by early July, and it sits just below the province’s five‑year average of roughly five deaths by mid‑summer. RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate the Whiteshell collision as officials urge riders to stay cautious during peak season.
