Arrest Warrant
In the past 24 hours 1 individual was arrested on the strength of their Unendorsed Warrant. The 21-year-old female was held in the cells at the Police Station, to appear in Court today.
Impaired Driving leads to Charges
At approximately 4:30am on Saturday August 8th, Police were dispatched to a disturbance in the 300 block of 11th St. While in the area, a vehicle pulled out in front of Police in such a manner, it led to the vehicle being stopped. The subsequent investigation revealed that the driver was impaired by alcohol and a 21year-old female was thrown from vehicle. The victim was transported to the Brandon Regional Health Centre for her injuries, and the 22year-old male driver was charged with Driving while Impaired Causing Bodily Harm and Operation Equal to or Exceeding 80mg% and is scheduled to appear in Court at a later date.
AUGUST 9
Theft Under $5000
On Aug 8th, at approximately 9:28am an off-duty officer reported three males attempting to steel merchandise from a home improvement retailer in 800 block of 18th St N. The three suspects left the area in a vehicle which was stopped a short distance away by uniformed officers. The stolen merchandise was recovered, and all three suspects were arrested for Theft Under $5000. One of the males was found to be the subject of a deportation order, and a 2nd male was issued a removal order via the CBSA. The third male was issued an Undertaking order with a future court date.
Breach of Court order
On August 8th, at approximately 3pm, BPS received a report from a business in the 3400 block of Victoria Ave, regarding a male who is on court ordered conditions not to attend that location. The 28-year-old male suspect was located later in the day and arrested for breaching his undertaking. He was held in Custody for a court appearance.
Breach of the Peace
On August 9th, around 5:30am, A 22-year-old female was intoxicated and causing a disturbance at a residence in the 100 block of 2nd St. She was intoxicated and the residents wanted her removed. She was lodged in cells until sober and cooperative.
