In the past 24 hours, one individual was arrested under the PDCIPA. The 37-year-old male will be released in the morning once sober.
Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours two individuals from separate incidents were arrested for Breach of the Peace and held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells. The 28-year-old male and 25-year-old female will be released once sober.
Disobey Court Order x2
On August 9th, 2026, at approximately 9:02 p.m., police attended a home in the 100 block of 4th Street in response to a report of a disturbance involving a 21-year-old female. The female was highly intoxicated and was found to be in breach of conditions prohibiting her from communicating with the homeowner or attending the residence.
The female was arrested and will be released once sober on an Appearance Notice. She is scheduled to appear in court on October 19th, 2026.
Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle
On December 7th, 2025, at 1:30 a.m., 911 advised police of a single-vehicle rollover on the 1st Street curves in the southbound lanes, just south of Kasuriak Bay.
Police attended and located a vehicle that had come to rest on its roof, with the driver trapped inside. Brandon Fire and Emergency Services attended and successfully extricated the unconscious male driver. He was transported to hospital with unknown injuries. Due to the circumstances of the collision and the medical treatment required, a blood warrant was requested to determine the driver’s blood alcohol concentration.
On August 9th, 2026, the requested results were received, indicating a Blood Alcohol Concentration of 214 mg%. The male was subsequently located and arrested for Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Operation of a Motor Vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Concentration Exceeding 80 mg%.
The male has been released and is scheduled to appear in court on October 1st, 2026.
