Arrest Warrant
In the past 24 hours, two individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest.
On August 12th, 2026, at approximately 1:33 a.m., police observed a male walking near 26th Street and Victoria Avenue. A pedestrian stop was conducted, and police confirmed that the 33-year-old male had a Brandon Police Service (BPS) Unendorsed Warrant of Arrest (Theft / Failure to Attend Court). He was arrested and transported to BPS. He is scheduled to appear in court on the morning of August 12th, 2026.
On August 11th, 2026, at approximately 11:05 a.m., police attended a residence on Assiniboine Avenue, and a 37-year-old male was arrested and transported to BPS due to being wanted on a Warrant. (Failure to Comply Release Order / Disobey Court Order). He is scheduled to appear in court on the morning of August 12, 2026.
Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours, two individuals from separate incidents were arrested under the PDCIPA. The individuals, a 24-year-old female and a 45-year-old male, will both be released once sober in the morning.
Mischief to Property Under $5000
On August 11th at 8:41 p.m. while attending another call, an officer observed a male spray painting a wall in the 1200 block of Rosser Avenue. The male was arrested for the graffiti incident and transported to BPS for processing. The male was later released via Appearance Notice with a future court date of October 5th, 2026.
Possession of a Weapon / Possess Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x2 / Breach of Undertaking (curfew)
On August 11th at approximately 9:25 p.m., security from a building in the 200 block of 18th Street reported a male on the property who was not permitted to be there. When security approached the male, he displayed a bladed weapon. Upon being called BPS officers immediately located the male. The 43-year-old male was found in possession of a box cutter knife, loose ammunition, two butane torches, and a new soldering kit. A records check revealed that the male was breaching numerous court orders, as well as a curfew. The male was also scheduled to be in Moose Jaw for court on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026. The male was arrested and transported to BPS. He will appear in court on the morning of August 12th, 2026.
Possession of a Weapon / Carry Concealed Weapon / Breach of Probation / Arrest Warrant
On August 11th, 2026, at approximately 9:57 p.m., police received reports of two males fighting and throwing punches in the middle of the intersection at 9th Street and Victoria Avenue. Officers attended and located both males, ages 38 and 32, who had just separated. The 32-year-old male was out of breath and admitted to being involved in the fight. A knife was located concealed in his waistband.
The 38-year-old male was located holding a knife in his hand. Neither male wished to proceed with Assault charges.
Both males were arrested on Weapons charges. A police record check revealed an outstanding Warrant for the 32-year-old male. Both males were transported to BPS for processing. The 38-year-old male was released on an Undertaking with a future court date. The 32-year-old male was held in custody on the strength of the Warrant and will attend court on the morning of August 12th, 2026.
Take Motor Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent
On August 11th, 2026, at approximately 2:41 p.m., police officers were conducting a traffic stop in the 1000 block of 1st Street North when a female approached the officers and began yelling at them. The female was known to police and was arrested in relation to an ongoing investigation stemming from an incident two days earlier. On August 10, 2026, the female stole the keys to a vehicle and subsequently took the vehicle without the owner’s consent.
The female was transported to BPS detention cells. She will be released on an Undertaking once sober in the morning. A future court date has been set for October 26th, 2026.
