About 150 competitors faced off at Bavaria’s 65th German Finger Wrestling Championships, linking middle fingers with a leather loop and trying to pull each other across a table.
Senior champion Ferdinand Seitz called the pain “excruciating.” The Alpine tradition remains popular across the region.
