Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours three individuals from separate incidents were arrested for Breach of the Peace and held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells to prevent the continuation of behavior. All individuals will be released once sober.
Arrest Warrants
Over the past 24 hours, BPS officers arrested four individuals on their outstanding Warrants for Arrest. Three were arrested and later released via Undertaking/Appearance Notice with future court dates and one was held in BPS detention cells to attend court in the morning on August 31st, 2026.
Possession of a Weapon / Failure to Comply Release Order
On August 30th at 10:38 p.m. police were called to the ER at Brandon Regional Health Centre as a 40-year-old male, who had been causing a disturbance and found to have a knife, was in custody with hospital security. The male was found to be on conditions not to possess weapons. He was arrested, brought to BPS detention cells and will attend court in the morning on August 31st, 2026.
IPV Assault / Assault by Choking
On August 30th at 10:00 a.m., Brandon Police Service attended a house in the 1700 block of 10th Street for reports of an Assault. A 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident involving his wife and was transported to Brandon Police Service for processing. He was later released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 2nd, 2026.
Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons
On August 30th at approximately 4:06 p.m., BPS responded to a report of a female who was passed out on a front lawn on Elviss Crescent. Officers located the highly intoxicated 19-year-old woman. She was taken into protective custody and brought to BPS detention cells to be released once sober and able to safely care for herself.
