Arrest Warrants
Over the past 24 hours, two individuals were arrested on their outstanding Warrants for Arrest. Both were arrested and later released via Appearance Notices with future court dates.
Failure to Comply Undertaking
On September 3rd at 10:54 p.m. a vehicle stop was conducted in which a 35-year-old male was the driver. The male was found to be on Undertaking curfew conditions of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The male was released at the scene via Appearance Notice with a future court date of November 2nd, 2026.
Theft Under $5000 x2
On September 3rd at 11:29 p.m. a vehicle stop was conducted in the 100 block of 26th Street in which a 38-year-old female was an occupant. The female was identified as the suspect in two separate thefts. The female was arrested, brought to BPS detention cells, and will attend court in the morning on September 4th, 2026.
Robbery
On September 4th at 12:41 a.m. a 21-year-old male was robbed at knife point in the 2700 block of Victoria Avenue. The suspect took his wallet and vape but discarded the wallet when suspect realized there was no money in it. The incident remains under investigation.
Assault
On September 4th at 3:06 a.m. police were called to an apartment in the 200 block of 5th Street as a 27-year-old male was fighting his 24-year-old girlfriend. Upon police arrival the female would not cooperate with police, but she was noted to have a bloody nose. The male was arrested and brought to BPS detention cells. He will attend court in the morning on September 4th, 2026.
Operate While Impaired / Operate with Equal or Exceeding 80mgs%
On September 4th at 4:05 a.m. a vehicle stop was conducted in the 2000 block of Queens Avenue after observing signs of impairment. The 35 year old female is currently suspended and can only operate a vehicle with ignition interlock. She provided two breath samples of 180 mgs% and 170 mgs% respectively. The female was arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with a future court date of September 10th, 2026.
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime / Arrest Warrant x2
On September 3rd at 9:20 a.m., an employee reported a theft from a locked compound in the 800 block of Parker Boulevard. Sometime between 2:30 p.m. on September 2nd and 9:00 a.m. on September 3rd, it was reported that an unknown suspect broke into the compound and stole a reel of aluminum cable valued at approximately $5,000. Shortly after making the initial report, the caller contacted police again after locating scrap wire near a tent in the area. Police attended and arrested a 46-year-old male who was inside the tent. The male was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. The male was also found to have two unendorsed warrants for arrest issued by the Virden RCMP. He was brought to Brandon Police Service detention cells and appeared in court later that day.
