Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours one individual was arrested on September 13th at 10:23 p.m. for Breach of the Peace and held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells. The 45-year-old male will be released once sober in the morning.
Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours, two individuals from separate incidents were arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act (PDCIPA) and brought to BPS detention cells. They will be released once they are sober and able to care for themselves.
Domestic Assault / Possession of a Weapon
On September 13th at 7:57 p.m., Brandon police responded to a report of a female with facial injuries at a restaurant in the 300 block of 10th Street. The 24-year-old female reported that her 25-year-old boyfriend had assaulted her by punching and kicking her. Police located and arrested the male at his residence in the 300 block of 10th Street.
At the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of plastic “brass” knuckles, a prohibited weapon. The male was brought to BPS detention cells and will be released on an Undertaking once sober. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 23rd, 2026.
Failure to Comply Release Order
On September 11th at 12:20 p.m., police received a report that a 66-year-old male had ridden his bicycle to a residence on Templeton Drive, where he is prohibited from being within 200 metres.
On the evening of September 13th, police located the male at his residence and arrested him. He was transported to BPS detention cells and held for court on the morning of September 14th, 2026.
Arrest Warrant
On September 14th at 1:36 a.m., police conducted a persons check with a male near the 2000 block of Victoria Avenue East. The male was found to be wanted on a Winnipeg Police Service Warrant for Arrest. The male was arrested and processed at BPS. He was later released via an Appearance Notice with a future court date of November 24th in Winnipeg.
