Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours two individuals from separate incidents were arrested for Breach of the Peace and held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells. They will be released once sober.
Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours, three individuals were arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act. All three were brought to BPS detention cells and will be released once sober.
Arrest Warrants
Over the past 24 hours, two individuals were arrested on their outstanding Warrants for Arrest. Both individuals were held for court in the morning on September 17th, 2026.
Breach of Probation
On September 16th at 7:54 p.m. a Loss Prevention Officer from a business in the Corral Centre reported a male inside the store who is on court orders not to attend the business. The male left the store prior to police arrival, but upon video surveillance the male’s identity was confirmed, and he was later located and arrested in the 600 block of Rosser Avenue. The male was brought to BPS and will attend court in the morning on September 17th, 2026.
Break, Enter and Commit Theft / Failure to Comply Release Order/ Possess Break-In Instruments / Mischief Under $5000 / Theft Under $5000
On August 29th, 2026, an unknown male and female broke into an apartment building in the 3300 block of Victoria Avenue. Once inside, they used bolt cutters to cut bike locks and stole two bicycles. The incident was captured on video, and the male suspect was later identified.
On September 16th, Brandon police attended Brandon Correctional Centre and arrested the 29-year-old male, who was already in custody, in connection with the investigation. The accused was also charged with failing to comply with a release order, as he was prohibited from possessing break-in instruments. The accused remained in custody at Brandon Correctional Centre and was scheduled to appear in court on September 17th, 2026.
Possession of Weapon / Mischief Under $5000
On September 16th at 11:48 a.m. a 47-year-old female attended her old apartment she had been evicted from and refused to leave. When confronted by the landlord she pulled out a knife. Prior to police arrival she smashed multiple windows within the residence. The female was arrested, charged, and held in BPS detention cells to attend court in the morning on September 17th, 2026.
Possession of a Weapon
On September 17th, 2026, at 1:49 p.m., Brandon police responded to a disturbance at an apartment in the 1500 block of 3rd Street. A 37-year-old female was threatening her brother, the leaseholder of the apartment, with bear mace while attempting to remove property from the residence. The female was arrested and charged with Possession of a Weapon. She was arrested, charged, and later released via Undertaking with a future court date of November 26th, 2026.
