Manitoba Justice is reporting the death of a 47-year-old man at the Brandon Regional Health Centre’s palliative care unit on Thursday.
The man had been under the supervision of correctional staff.
The province has notified the family of the passing.
Manitoba Justice says no further information about the deceased will be released due to privacy reasons.
The death has been reported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, as required by law.
